So First I made Some detox water, I used the Jillian Michael detox water I like the taste of dandelion root and drink it every so often (I drink a lot of tea) I use this tea in place of yogurt or other juices that are mixed with smoothies.
1 T 100% pure cranberry juice (no sugar, non-cocktail, I used what I had, I have never added it before so figured I would this time around)
2 T lemon juice
1 dandelion root tea bag ( I Used 2 but I drink dandelion root every so often anyways)
I poured distilled water into a microwave safe cup and brewed the tea as directed (Except I used 3, I don't recommend using more unless you drink detox type herbs regularly)
then added the remainder of the ingredients to the jug 1 us gallon of water is approximately 128 us fluid ounces so your doubling the recipe. Once the tea was cooled I poured back into the jug added a few more tbs of lemon ( I love lemon) and put it in the fridge!
Then I Gathered my detox smoothie list and went shopping! They are not in any particular order for any reason I just jotted them down in what I was remembering and what ones I had complied on my phone first! The green energy smoothie is just a all time favorite green smoothie of mine and my little girls.
After shopping (which by the way I mistakenly bought cilantro instead of parsley don't know how that happened I swear I grabbed parsley) I went home and chopped it all up and put it into bags for the next week! Any of the smoothies with bananas I froze and the raspberry one I froze too the others I just keep in my fridge, but any of them can be stored in freezer. I usually wait with any lemon and add it when I blend them, AND sometimes (OKAY MOST OF THE TIME) throw in chai seeds to any of them just because I love chai! I Add about a cup or two of ice and a cup or two of the detox water to each smoothie mix!
OH and I label all my bags with which number they are so its a quick find.
AND TADA!!!!! One week worth smoothies prepped!!
One step closer to eating cleaner, and healthier!
